As Director of Clinical Operations at Apex PA Surgical Services (A-PASS), Melissa Young ensures the organization runs with efficiency, integrity, and alignment across all partnerships. With more than 30 years of experience in healthcare administration and revenue operations, she oversees the business infrastructure that supports Apex’s mission of empowering surgical teams to perform at their highest level.
Melissa’s leadership spans credentialing, licensing, contracting, billing, and HR management—creating the systems and processes that keep Apex’s partnerships running smoothly. Known for her clear communication and grounded leadership style, she fosters collaboration between surgeons, PAs, and facility partners to ensure every operational detail supports exceptional surgical outcomes.

Melissa’s career in healthcare management spans over three decades, combining deep expertise in medical billing, compliance, and practice operations. Her Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential reflects her commitment to accuracy, transparency, and ethical leadership in every facet of operations. She is also an active member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) and the Healthcare Leaders of Alabama (HLA), continually advancing her knowledge of best practices in medical administration and organizational leadership.
